25/1/11- Finish Filming and Start to Edit

Today we completed our whole series of shots including, over the shoulder, shot reverse shot and reaction shots. Lizzie was our camera operator and Will and I both acted out what we had planned, using a different room from the one we first decided and a slightly different storyline, as we had adapted from a cafe to a school. After we were satisfied that the clips we had filmed were good enough and we had enough of them, we started to learn the loading and editing process. we had managed to film quite a few short clips that linked together quite nicely leaving only effects to add and placing some scenes in different locations to create the shot, we all learnt to cut and delete un-needed seconds of films. We have currently got our task to the 'simple' stage so next lesson we can finalise and add effects and fades that we want to add to add to take the short film to a professional standard

20/1/11- Starting to film

Today we were meant to film, Lizzie and I started the lesson by filling in Will on our premilinary task idea and  the angels shots and edits that we wanted to use. He then added his own spark to them asking if we could shoot paticular scenes in certain ways too make it more effective or better for audiences watching, as we started to film we started to encounter problems, such as the school canteen that we had choosen to film in did not look like a swarve cafe that we had wanted but a school canteen! we then decided that this area would be fine to shoot close ups and any longer distance shots could be filmed in a more sufficent setting. However  this is when several cameras would not work with us which consequently took up a large percentage of time to sort out, this was then topped off by the fact that i had already promised to help another group meaning my group now neither had a camera or myself! We decided we would then wait till the following lesson to enable that the final product did not look rushed or unproffessional, we left feeling confident about next lesson having chosen a new setting (in a school not a cafe) which was free during our 2 hour slot on a tuesday and had all decided  and agreed on alterations to the storyline we had previously written.

18/1/11- Planning Preliminary Task

Today Lizzie and I have started planning out preliminary task,
without the 3rd memeber of our group, we are going to make detailed plans as if he is back on thursday he can fit straight back in.
